"Sometimes we're not legible but we're the same strange animal,
Let them say our love is peculiar - don't care.
There's only now, no ever after;
We won't let this end in disaster."

-We Were Born Mutants Again With Leafling
-of Montreal

Of Montreal - they're amazing, and I believe that everybody should listen to them at least once... On second thought, they should listen to them for at least 15 minutes. The music of of Montreal is one of those things that I would define as an "acquired taste." It's comparable to things like coffee, or tea - the first time you taste coffee, you hate it, and I mean absolutely hate it. However, somehow you end up drinking it again, and it's just a bit better than it was the first time. This applies to the third and fourth and fifth time, until you're hooked. Of Montreal is the same way. The first time I heard it I believe I said something along the lines of "What the hell is this?" After discovering that I initially heard it due to my long-time-love-interest, and that they were one of his favourite bands, I listen to it again, and agian... and soon I was hooked on them. I've been a fan since. :]

Not only have I become a recent of Montreal addict, but also a massive Modest Mouse fan. (I think all of the bands I've been listening to lately start with an "m." Modest Mouse, of Montreal, Muse, MuteMath, Jason Mraz, Matthew Sweet. =\ ) "Satin in a Coffin" is their best. *nods*

Ehh, damn. My bitch of a dad is making me go; type later.
